The husband of Ana María, the Colombian woman who disappeared in Spain, is accused of murder

The Serbian David Knezevich, husband of Ana Maria Knezevichthe American of Colombian origin, missing since last February in Spain, was charged with murder by a grand jury of an American court.

The formal charge was filed Wednesday and includes three counts of kidnapping resulting in death against Knezevich, 36 and based in South Florida. Regarding Knezevich, who was arrested last May at Miami International Airport (MIA) while arriving from Serbia, there was so far only one charge for the kidnapping of his wife 40 years old, Ana Maria Henao Knezevich.

Henao Knezevich was missing since February 2or, when she was last seen in Madrid. The Serb had found not guilty kidnapping charges against him before the American courts for the disappearance of his wife, with whom he was in the process of divorcing.

Wednesday’s indictment alleges that Knezevich “intentionally captured, confined, kidnapped, kidnapped and took away” Henao Knezevich and killed her “intentionally, deliberately, maliciously and with premeditation and treachery.”

The last news that those close to her had about her was that she was looking for a new rental apartment with the intention of leaving her residence in Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami, and staying in the Spanish capital for a long time.

Henao Knezevich disappeared shortly after a man wearing a motorcycle helmet disabled the security cameras of the Madrid building where she lived and sprayed the camera lenses with an aerosol spray.

This man was later identified as Knezevich, who presumably entered his wife’s house and left with a suitcase that authorities believe may have contained the woman’s body and which he disposed of when he return in a rental vehicle to the Serbian capital. the same one with which he went to Madrid.

Prosecutors point out that Security video shows Knezevich in Madrid hardware store use cash to buy adhesive tape and the same brand of spray paint that the man in the motorcycle helmet used on the security camera.

They also claim that the man in the motorcycle helmet has the same height and eyebrows as Knezevich and that his cell phone was connected to Facebook from Madrid.

The defendant, a naturalized American technology entrepreneur, He went to Spain to “kidnap” his wife in his apartment in Madrid, a fact which “supports a large amount of indirect evidence” presented by the prosecution, says the FBI.

Knezevich, who remains under arrest without bail, He defends that he has never set foot in Spain and that it has nothing to do with the disappearance of his wife.
