The Ibex 35 climbs 0.46% at the opening and stands at 11,900 points

The Ibex 35 started this Tuesday’s session with an increase of 0.46%which allowed the Madrid selection to be placed in the 11,958.2 points at 9:00 a.m., on a day marked once again by the publication of business results.

Before the stock market opens, Santander informed the National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) that it obtained an attributable profit of 9.309 million euros during the first nine months of 2024, or 14% more compared to the same period of the previous year, thanks to “strong” revenue growth across all its businesses and global regions.

AcerinoxIn addition, it achieved an attributable profit of 162 million euros in the first nine months of the year, 53% lower than the profit of 348 million euros in the same period of 2023, as the company reported on Tuesday, which stressed that its results were affected by the five-month strike at its factory in Europe and by the “weak” demand for stainless steel in its main markets, the United States and the Europe.

For its part, Mapfre closed the first nine months of 2024 with an attributable net profit of 653.5 million euros, or 38.9% more than the same period last year.

On the market of exchangethe price of the euro against the dollar stood at 1.0813 green billswhile in the debt market, interest charged on 10-year bonds rose to 2.977%.
