An IDF spokesman, speaking in Arabic, said civilians were prohibited from crossing the line, which covers several communities in the south.
The list included the villages of Shebaa, al-Khabriya, Marjion, Arnon, Yakhmar, al-Qantara, Shakra, Berashit, Yater and Almanzori, as well as their surrounding areas.
The message emphasized that the military does not seek to harm civilians, but that returning to their homes in these areas is prohibited until further notice.
It was also noted that any attempt to cross the designated line to the south would involve serious risks to life.
Previously, the IDF released details on how the first day of the ceasefire in the north went.
On the afternoon of Wednesday, November 27, the IDF completed the first day of the ceasefire on the northern border and reported significant achievements in the fight against the Hezbollah terrorist group. The military reported successful operations that resulted in the destruction of weapons depots, the elimination of key figures in the group and the neutralization of large numbers of militants.
According to the command, just six months ago such results seemed unattainable. Now one of the main tasks is to prevent the supply of weapons to Hezbollah from Syria and repress its activities south of the Litani River.
Military sources noted that Israel’s actions have the support of the international community, mainly the United States, which gives the country the necessary legitimacy to take active measures should Hezbollah try to regain its strength.
The IDF emphasizes the importance of strategic planning and the use of lessons learned. At the same time, they believe that it is premature to speak of the end of the conflict and express doubts about the duration of the current truce.
During the day, the military recorded attempts to return residents and Hezbollah fighters to border villages, but all were detained. The IDF warned that any action that poses a threat to Israeli troops would be harshly repressed, including the use of weapons.
Previously, Cursor wrote that the IDF destroyed Hezbollah’s largest plant where missiles were produced.
The attack on the Hezbollah plant took place on the eve of the ceasefire agreement coming into force.
