KARESANSUI

These still waves pierce

the foundations. a silence

resolution in his insistence

could separate the house

of the winter month

and bring him closer to the light,

still, almost hot, in the petals

almond trees.

Give me, city,

the waves of a new sea.

Stevie Nicks sings

in his song New Orleans:

In the city of dreams /

lies the ghost of the city/

there is a beginning,

so that this beach

don’t get angry or passionate

with someone’s morning steps

on the foam of the street.

The house floats gently,

It sways with the waves.

S. Rusiñol: Cypress belvedere of the Príncipe Garden, Aranjuez, 1919.

ARANJUEZ GARDENS

walk with me

in the shadows

and let’s listen

prelude number one

by Heitor Villa-Lobos.

let me take you

next to where the insects are

they jump geraniums

in water

and the fish with appetite feels

friction

What a difference

we would breathe

if the air of sorrow smells

with freshly trimmed hedges

or joy

It’s the cyclamen on fire,

is the pond blinding?
