Dandelion can be taken in an infusion in which the root and some leaves are used. It is recommended to let it sit for about 10 minutes and drink up to three cups per day. Its properties include:

  • Mild digestive problems. According to the European Medicines Agency (EMA), it can be used for flatulence or slow digestion. Promotes the stimulation of gastric juices involved in digestion. Its inulin content helps improve constipation and irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Work up your appetite. Its bitter taste has an effect that whets the appetite.
