Concerning the new device which is called Vehicle locationthe social services manager clarified that this facilitates coordination with the Insurance Compensation Consortium expedite the necessary procedures regarding the assessment and resolution of compensation.

For its development, the Generalitat has benefited from the collaboration of the Provincial Delegation of Valencia, the Civil Guard, the Insurance Compensation Consortium and the General Directorate of Traffic.

In response to the immediate need to remedy the situation of vehicles damaged by floods, the spokesperson for the Consell explained that the Generalitat has activated an urgent withdrawal plan in the 60 areas where they are located due to the health and safety risks in affected populations.

“Although the competence in this matter lies with the central government, which must declare these vehicles as municipal waste for subsequent transport, the delay in state regulation has led the Generalitat to act urgently by preparing a future decree that will establish the evacuation of around 120,000 cars that were deposited in municipal fields,” Camarero said.

Checking license plates

This Monday precisely, the removal of the 120,000 damaged vehicles accumulated in the 60 fields of the province began, as reported by the Emergency Coordination Center (CCE).

Through this circular, local police and municipalities can inform residents and vehicle owners how the removal of cars will be carried out.
