According to Erdogan, the Islamic world is currently going through very difficult times, is under siege and at the center of international intrigue. He noted that the world community, including international organizations and the media, are unaware of the crimes occurring in Lebanon and the Palestinian Authority. Erdogan also accuses Israel of continuing to commit atrocities with the support of the international community, exacerbating the violence.
“Countries that demand democracy and human rights, instead of stopping murder and genocide, support Israel and therefore increase oppression,” he said. The Turkish president also expressed hope for the creation of an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Erdogan stressed the need to unite the Islamic world and called on countries to put aside differences and act together.
He also supported the International Criminal Court’s decision to arrest Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Galant, saying it was important for all signatories to support the decision to restore confidence in the international legal system.
Recall that “Cursor” wrote that Turkish President Erdogan commented on the ban on the Duke’s plane from flying through Türkiye. He confirmed that Ankara refused to allow Israeli President Herzog to use its airspace. As a result, the decision forced Duke to cancel his visit to the UN climate conference COP29, which is taking place in Baku, Azerbaijan.
“Cursor” also reported on Erdogan’s statement that his country has completely severed ties with Israel and has no intention of restoring them.
According to him, Türkiye has demonstrated the most forceful response to Israeli actions, including the disruption of trade, and has taken the most concrete measures in this direction.
