Israeli aircraft attacked several targets located southeast of the Syrian city of Aleppo. This is reported by the SANA agency citing a military source.
“The Israeli enemy carried out an aerial attack at 00:45 hours (coinciding with Moscow), hitting several targets in the rural areas of Aleppo and Idlib. As a result, several soldiers were injured and property damage was caused.” – says the message.
The Al Hadath television channel also reported on an Israeli air force attack near Aleppo. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said the Israeli strikes targeted Syrian military plants and research laboratories in the town of Safira.
In addition, there is a headquarters where members of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and pro-Iran groups are located, the channel writes.
Syria borders Israel and Lebanon to the southwest, and the country’s border with Türkiye runs from Aleppo to the north.
Israel periodically attacks targets in Syria amid its operation in Lebanon. The IDF announced the start of “limited, localized and selective raids” against Hezbollah targets on the border with southern Lebanon, RBC recalls.
