The governor told the Vafa Palestinian agency that the arrest of occupation forces for six high school students in the city of Diritius today at dawn and denies their right to educate and fulfill their exams, is a new crime, which is added to the report of daily occupation disorders, and is a gross violation of the basic human law itself.
He added that “education is not a crime, and our students are not only legitimate goals for occupation,” emphasizing that the prejudices for students in learning not only threaten their individual future, but is also a systematic attempt to strike at the Palestinian public fabric and confiscate hope and ambitions from complete generation.
The governor called on Taqatqa, all human rights and international institutions to urgently intervene and pressure to free the arrested students and provide their right to freely and safely complete their education, from threat, judicial persecution and violations.
It should be noted that the arrest of students took place today, on Thursday, as part of the raids and arrest campaign of 21 Palestinians, including six students in the city of Diritius, north of Salfit Guartoart, on the west coast.
