The Israeli embassy in India has asked the New Delhi police to provide rifles for security personnel to carry out shooting training.
Oku.Az “The Indian Express” published information about it.
According to a source, this is the first time in the history of Delhi Police that a foreign embassy has requested access to its shooting training centre.
“We are discussing the matter with the top management and right now we are likely to reject their request. But we don’t have a final decision yet,” a Delhi Police source said.
The Israeli embassy’s request to the New Delhi police did not indicate why they needed the shooting training center or the number of personnel who would participate in the training.
However, it is known that the call from the Israeli diplomatic mission came in the context of the tense situation in the Middle East.
