Liputan6.com, Ramalllah – The Palestine government on Sunday (7/7/2025) has issued a strong warning associated with more and more illegal settlers of Israel in the complex of Al-Aksa Mosque in Eastern Jerusalem.

In the official statement quoted by Anadol, the Palestine Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the actions of these settlers can have a serious impact on the historical status of the CVO and the regional law, which were a hot place of conflict, including all the cities of Jerusalem, which were still under the lesson.

“East Jerusalem is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and is the capital of the Palestinian state,” the Palestinian Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs says, quoted from the page Middle East MonitorMonday (7/7/2025).

The Palestine government also called for the United Nations and its institutions to immediately take specific steps to protect Jerusalem and holy places of Muslims and Christians, especially Al-Axa mosque, from Israeli and unilateral plans that can worsen tension.

The Al-Aksa mosque is known as the third holy place in Islam. Meanwhile, the Jewish community called the area of the “mountain of the temple” – it was believed that in the past it was the place of two Jewish temples.

According to the Religious Affairs of the Ministry of the Wakf and Palestinians, over the past month, at least 25 times were registered, that raids were carried out by illegal settlers of Israel in a complex of Al-Aqsa Mosque. The Ministry also reported that the Israeli forces closed the holy grave for 11 days so that Christians could not worship there, for security reasons.

As a background, Israel captured East Jerusalem, where in 1967 the Al-Aksa mosque was in the Arab Israeli war. Then, in 1980, Israel unilaterally annexed the whole city, a step that was never recognized as an international community.

Thousands of pilgrims gathered in the Al-Aksa complex Jerusalem at night on the night of al-Kadra Leilat or fate, the most sacred night in the month of Ramadan.
