Italian club Sampdoria has fired its coach Andrea Pirlo.

Oku.Az Sportal.eu reports that the 45-year-old manager left the team following the defeat to Salernitana in the third round of Serie B.

It is worth noting that Sampdoria, which struggled to advance to Serie A last season, finished the championship in seventh place with 55 points.
