By decision of the Moscow court, businessman Boris Shpigel was released from serving his sentence due to the presence of chronic diseases and a noticeable deterioration in his health. This was reported by the Mash telegram channel.
EADaily Remember that the businessman was sentenced to 11 years in prison in January of this year for giving a bribe on a particularly large scale. The judge also sentenced Spiegel to pay a fine of 450 million rubles.
Spiegel’s lawyers submitted a corresponding petition to the Preobrazhensky court, which indicated that the convict’s state of health had noticeably deteriorated. The businessman was present at the court hearing via video link, being physically in the hospital.
