The judge of Begoña affairJuan Carlos Peinado, attributed the investigation situation to former Madrid advisor Juan José Güemes.
The former PP politician, currently director of the Instituto de Empresa, was identified by another witness as the person who encouraged the membership of Begoña Gómez, wife of Pedro Sánchez, in the EI. It is for this reason that he was summoned this Monday as a witness. But he left the courts as under investigation.
