The Ministry of Social Inclusion, Youth, Family and Equality Junta of Andalusia and UGT-A union reached an initial agreement to establish measures helping to improve the implementation of the new procedure recognition of the dependency situation launched in Andalusia after the approval of the administrative simplification decree.
The general secretary of Social Inclusion of the Council, Ana Vanessa García, and the secretary of Organization and Union Policy of Public Services of the UGT-A, Esperanza Morales, were responsible for seal this agreement in the Andalusian Parliamentwhich comes after several weeks of negotiations.
It includes measures aimed at continuing staff training dependency, improvements computer system implemented, development of protocols action in exceptional situations, as well as measures aimed at improving the organization of the work carried out by these professionals.
Ana Vanessa García thanked the UGT for its availability for dialogue and emphasized that this is a first agreement since “we continue to work and dialogue with worker representatives to achieve the common objective: reduce waiting lists and offer a better service to people in dependency situations in Andalusia and their families.
After highlighting the important work of dependency professionals, García recalled that, with the simplification decree, the objective is to improve and rationalize the Andalusian dependency system, the largest in the country. “We are aware of all the needs that exist, but we are also clear that we are not going to abandon our efforts to improve the system to make it more agile and efficient”he continued.
Likewise, he highlighted the contributions of the UGT Andalucía, as well as its willingness to continue working on the demands of the rest of the professionals linked to the dependency system, such as professionals in the sector Andalusian teleassistance service and the rest of the staff of the Andalusian Agency for Social Services and Dependency.
For her part, Esperanza Morales assured that, for the UGT, its objective is to “always make it easier for workers to carry out their work in the best conditions”.
