The Junta de Andalucía grants 5.3 million euros to Cunext Copper for its expansion projects

The Board of Directors of the Junta of Andalusia authorized the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines to grant 23.78 million euros from the complementary incentive aid line to Regional Economic Incentives (IER) to four large industries established in Andalusia for the development of tractor projects that total an investment of 457 million euros in the provinces of Huelva, Cordoba and Seville. Among them, Cunext Copper.

The complementary incentives are an aid program that reinforces the regional economic incentives (IER) to attract industrial investments in Andalusia from large companies and that the Junta de Andalucía finances with its own resources, as detailed by the Junta in a statement. With this aid, as its name indicates, the State aid to the industrial projects of the driving companies is complemented to promote the materialization of strategic investments in the community.

To the company Cunext Copper Transformers, located in Cordoba, benefits from an additional incentive near the 5.3 million euros to support an investment project in Cordoba, worth 47.96 million euros, focused on copper processing.

This aid line from the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mines has a budget of 118 million euros for the years 2023 and 2024 aimed at tractor projects of large industrial companies manufacturing and advanced logistics, as well as industry support services, such as data storage services or high-tech systems in Andalusia.
