The knife seized by the police from one of the radicals in the Atlético de Madrid stadium during the derby

He derby between Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid was marked by the regrettable stain of the radicals, who objects were thrown against the goalkeeper of the white team, Thibaut Courtois, forcing the suspension of the match and its subsequent resumption. ‘El Chiringuito’ reveals one of the objects seized from one of the radicals identified in the Metropolitan Stadium, a knife of remarkable dimensions.

This Monday, Atlético de Madrid chose to expel one of the people identified, prohibit him from entering the stadiumwho would be the person carrying this knife inside the stadium. “The club has taken the decision to permanently expel the person identified yesterday by the Police in collaboration with our Security department involved in the throwing of objects during the derby. Our Security department continues to work with the Police for the identification of the rest of these people involved in throwing objects, who will be definitively expelled as soon as they are located”, specifies the club in a press release.

For his part, the Anti-violence commission gathered this Monday to analyze the images that occurred in the stadium of the red and white team, progress of sanctions for the events that occurred there. Anti-Violence reiterated in a statement “its most absolute rejection of violent behavior that harms the image of Spanish football” and said that “any type of behavior that presents a serious risk to the safety of people attending an event sportsman is unacceptable.

The Permanent Anti-Violence Commission condemned the events leading to the temporary suspension of the match for 17 minutes. According to the Superior Sports Council, “the Commission positively appreciates the speed of action of the match referee in applying the said protocol” and “also condemns the events that occurred before the match”.
