The Kremlin gave Scholz an ultimatum: what Putin said in a telephone conversation

The European Pravda wrote about this message from the Kremlin press service.

The report said Putin explained to Scholz that his decision to start a full-scale war with Ukraine was supposedly due to NATO’s long-term aggressive policy aimed at creating an anti-Russian bridgehead on Ukrainian territory.

The Russian president also emphasized that Russia supposedly never rejected peace negotiations, but only on conditions that take into account new territorial realities. The Kremlin also noted that Russia’s proposals have long been known to everyone, including their presentation in the Foreign Ministry’s June statement, and that any possible agreement should take into account Russia’s security interests and eliminate causes of the conflict.

Putin also expressed his discontent over the deterioration of relations with Germany, accusing the Berlin authorities of pursuing hostile policies.

As a result of the negotiations it was decided that aides to both leaders would remain in contact.

The German side also confirmed that a telephone conversation took place between German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the owner of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin. This was stated by the representative of the German federal government, Steffen Gebestreit. According to him, Scholz “condemned the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine and called on Putin to stop it and withdraw his troops.”

It is also known that Vladimir Zelensky asked Chancellor Scholz not to have a conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Reuters, citing a source from the Office of the President of Ukraine.

According to him, Scholz informed Zelensky in advance about his plans to talk to Putin.

“The chancellor told our president that he plans to talk to Putin. The president said this will only help Putin reduce his isolation. Putin doesn’t want real peace, he wants a break,” the source said. The publication’s interlocutor noted that a conversation with Scholz will not bring peace, since it will allow Putin to change the situation and continue the war.

“Putin will simply repeat the lies he has been telling for years, making it appear that he is no longer isolated,” he said.

Recall that “Cursor” wrote that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky spoke about the relationship he had with Trump after a telephone conversation.
