The Kyrgyz authorities are developing a state program to finance small businesses in order to attract migrant workers to their homeland. This was announced in a briefing by the deputy director of the Ministry of Labor, Social Security and Migration, Bakyt Darmankul uulu.
As the official explained, the essence of the program is for migrant workers to act as investors, investing certain amounts of money in the opening and development of companies in Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, the State provides co-financing: for every sum invested by a migrant, the same amount is allocated.
Darmankul uulu added that the program applies to those who have funds and business ideas.
According to him, currently 21 grants have been awarded on a trial basis. Of them, 19 are operating successfully. The full launch of the program is expected in 2025.
The project is being executed by the Ministry of Economy.
