The FAS will punish the company, which is the largest supplier of petroleum products in Khakassia, for inflating gasoline and diesel prices.
“The Khakass OFAS recognized that the economic entity violated antitrust legislation due to unreasonable prices for petroleum products. “Such actions led to the violation of the rights of other companies and residents of the region,” — informs the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS).
According to their data, the company occupies a dominant position in Khakassia, and the territorial body of the FAS Russia analyzed documents and found that while purchase prices fell, sales prices for gasoline and diesel continued to increase.
“On November 15, the commission of the Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Republic of Khakassia determined that the business entity had violated the Law on Protection of Competition. The violation was expressed in the abuse of a dominant position by taking actions to establish unreasonable wholesale and retail prices for the sale of motor gasoline (AI-92, AI-95) and diesel fuel.” – FAS reports. The service added that the company will be held administratively responsible.
