According to Allister Heath, famous journalist and editor of The Sunday Telegraph, the world is on the brink of World War III and the key to avoiding a global conflict is in the hands of Israel.
He believes the panicked Iranian regime could make fatal mistakes in its pursuit of nuclear status as quickly as possible. In his column for The Telegraph, Heath emphasizes that to avoid a nuclear crisis, Iran’s nuclear program must be destroyed and regime change in Tehran must be the top foreign policy priority of all democracies.
Heath is convinced that if the world really wants to avoid war and nuclear holocaust, Israel must play a decisive role in this process. However, to succeed it will need the support of the West, especially the United States. The journalist affirms that Iran, which he calls “the source of almost all the problems in the Middle East” and an ally of Russia, represents a serious threat to the stability of the world.
Heath also points out that Iran is the biggest sponsor of terrorism and its theocratic government is “destroying the common destiny of humanity.”
Iran’s recent attack on Israel on October 1, according to Heath, was a disaster for Tehran. Iran weakened its position by wasting some of its missiles, demonstrating its vulnerability. The journalist points out that the Iranian regime, despite its aggression, is in a more fragile position than previously thought and that its actions indicate an underestimation of Israel’s readiness to counter threats.
Heath emphasizes that Israel cannot tolerate constant missile attacks by Iran, which clearly seeks to destroy the Jewish state. He also adds that even those who previously doubted the seriousness of the threat now realize that a nuclear Iran could trigger World War III.
The journalist warns that a panicked Iran could make even more serious miscalculations in an attempt to accelerate the development of its nuclear program. Therefore, according to Heath, Israel must deal a decisive blow to the Iranian regime to prevent the conflict from developing further. And in this, Israel deserves the full support of Western countries, especially the United States.
