Russia attacked critical infrastructure and businesses in the city of Dnipro, in response to the last two attacks carried out by Ukraine with long-range missiles on Russian soil. However, during this attack, it was not a question of injuries or damage, but rather of the type of weapon used. From the first moment, Zelensky assured that it was an intercontinental ballistic missile: “It has all the characteristics, speed, altitudecomes from an intercontinental ballistic missile. “It is obvious that Putin is using Ukraine as a training ground.”
The Kremlin was quick to deny it, but a surreal situation was experienced. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zajárova attended a press conference to report on the situation. However, in the middle of his appearance, he received a call and through the open microphone he was able to hear: “Don’t comment on the ballistic missile attackWesterners started talking about it.” Something that set off all the alarms.
Afterwards it was the same Putin who denied that this missile had an intercontinental range. Furthermore, to give an additional point of disbelief to the situation, the alliances have switched sides. The United States agreed with the Russian President’s statements, as half an hour before the launch they received confirmation from Moscow.
