The condition of Honored Artist of Russia, actor and director Mikhail Efremov, who is now in prison, has greatly worsened and he is receiving medical assistance. This was stated by the artist’s lawyer, Yuri Padalko, to the Telegram channel RTVI.
“Yes, indeed, his condition has worsened and help is being provided. I recently gave an interview about this.” – said the lawyer.
He added that he couldn’t say anything more for now, “it wouldn’t be entirely ethical.”
Recall that on September 8, 2020, a Moscow court sentenced Efremov to eight years in prison for the death of a person in an accident. The court concluded that Efremov was drunk behind the wheel.
At the moment, Efremov has served half of his sentence.
As reported EADailythe Shot telegram channel learned about a sharp deterioration in Efremov’s condition due to an exacerbation of COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), he has difficulty breathing and cannot speak.
Apparently, due to the deterioration of his condition, the artist now cannot even speak with his lawyers, who are preparing documents for parole (parole).
