The leader of the Ukrainian group “Boombox” Andrey Khlyvnyuk refused to receive the Sergei Magnitsky award in London because of Yulia Navalnaya.*. He wrote about this on his social network page.
He thanked the founders and the jury of the award for having awarded him “a minor contribution to the fight for freedom of expression and fundamental human rights” in Ukraine.
However, Khlyvnyuk emphasized that he would not be able to achieve it. “along with other winners who are “not sure” about the need to provide my country with Western weapons”.
A week earlier it became known that the prize was awarded to Navalnaya.* in the “Courage under fire” category. He even managed to receive it on November 16 in London, once again giving a pathetic speech.
As reported EADailyin February 2022 Jlyvnyuk joined the ranks of volunteers for the territorial defense of Kyiv. He first patrolled the streets and then became the pilot of the Punisher attack drone. In March 2022, Khlyvnyuk was wounded and after hospitalization returned to the front.
