Atlético won a decisive victory in the match against Alavés at home.
Oku.Az reports that the match on matchday 14 of the Spanish championship was played in Madrid.
The visitors opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a penalty. Madrid managed to come back only in the 76th and 86th minutes, 2-1.
After this result, Atlético added 29 points and eliminated Real Madrid (27 points) from second place in the league.
However, Diego Simeone’s men have played two more games than the royal club. Alavés occupies 16th place with 13 points.
