The Internet library “Flibusta” will continue to operate.
“The servers are paid, the site is supported, we are working in stable mode,” read the update to the post published by “Flibusta” founder Stiver on September 23.

Flibusta founder Stiver (who does not reveal his real name) announced in September that he had been diagnosed with glioblastoma. “Unfortunately, Flibusta seems to be done with this, and so am I. Thanks everyone, it was fun. The servers will still pay for a few more weeks,” he wrote.
Many “Flibusta” users wrote in the comments under Stiver’s post that they are willing to participate in paying for the servers and asked to raise funds for this purpose.
“Flibusta” was launched in 2009. It is possible to download electronic versions of books in Russian and other languages for free from the online library website. In 2016, the Moscow City Court permanently blocked the online library site on the territory of the Russian Federation due to copyright infringement.
