A person was found dead this Saturday in Cristall Beach in Badalona (Barcelona) and everything indicates that it would be the driver of a vehicle swept away by heavy storms tonight on the Catalan coast, especially in Maresme and Vallès.
As EFE was informed by sources from Mossos d’Esquadra, at 7:40 in the morning a notification was received that he had been found. the lifeless body of a person on this beach in Badalona.
The agents of the Mossos d’Esquadra investigation unit are now trying to identify this person, whose identity is currently unknown. In parallel, this morning, the disappearance of a woman was reported in the city of Tiana, so the Mossos are now trying to determine if the body that appeared lifeless on Cristall beach corresponds to her.
In the last few hours, due to the rains, the emergency number 112 has received a total of 407 calls regarding 279 incidents caused by the heavy rainstorm that hit the Barcelona and Tarragona regions last night. The majority of calls came from Vallès Occidental (109), Vallès Oriental (63) and Tarragonès (44). 112 responded to 31 calls from the city of Tarragona and another 31 from Sabadell.
