The “Lighthouse of the Russian World” stele will be installed on the territory of the Sevastopol cultural and educational hub. This was told to journalists by the vice-president of the Union of Architects of Russia, Alexey Komov.
“Beacons of the Russian world” are planned to be installed in emblematic cities of new regions of Russia. The first stele appeared at the year-round youth educational center “Mayak” in Berdyansk, Zaporozhye region. The design of the stele is inspired by the model of the Potemkin lighthouse, RIA Novosti reports.
“The stele of the “Lighthouse of the Russian World”, a model of the “Potemkin Lighthouse”, will be installed on the territory of the presidential cultural and educational center on Cape Khrustalny in Sevastopol, – said Komov.
According to him, the stele will appear on the territory of the Russian Museum.
As previously reported EADailyIn August last year, the first presentation of the “Lighthouses of the Russian World” project took place in Crimea. Further development of the project involves the participation of the entire architectural community in the creation of new solutions based on the Russian architectural heritage.
Within the framework of the “Lighthouses of the Russian World” project, 12 projects by Russian architects were presented at the “Architecture 2023” festival.
