The parties have opened a parenthesis amid the usual battles of Madrid politics. THE spokesperson for the PSOE and Más Madrid yesterday, they underlined their support for the regional president, Isabel Diaz Ayusofor its aid plan for Valencia in the face of the natural disaster caused by DANA.
Juan Lobato and Manuela Bergerot were able to personally show their support for Ayuso last week when the president called them by telephone to explain the measures that the Community of Madrid was taking regarding sending aid. The spokespersons of the two left-wing parties in the Assembly immediately placed themselves next to Ayuso.
We will have to wait until next Thursday’s plenary session to see if there is really some sort of political truce, in the midst of the crisis caused by DANA, or if the control sessions once again become a battlefield.
The fourth party in the regional Parliament, Vox, has partly distanced itself from this unity between the PP and the left. His parliamentary spokesperson, Isabel Pérez Moñino, regretted that the president had not contacted her. In the PP they clarified that he tried to do so, but was unable to do so because Moñino’s cell phone was turned off or out of coverage.
The Vox spokesperson took the opportunity to ask the PP to withdraw its regional budget project for 2025 and redo it to allocate the tax collection surplus to the reconstruction of the damage caused by DANA in the face of “l “national emergency” that we are experiencing.
For the PP, its spokesperson in the Assembly, Carlos Díaz-Pache, stressed that the “climate of collaboration between the parties is total”. “It is time to come together to resolve a national emergency,” he underlined this Monday when leaving the Assembly Spokespersons Office.
