A court session was held on the criminal case of Farid Huseynli, accused of murdering his wife and young daughter.
APA reports that at the hearing chaired by Judge Nureddin Huseynli at the Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court, prosecutor Samir Mammadov called for life imprisonment for Farid Huseynli.
The defendant’s lawyer asked the court for time to speak.
It should be noted that the incident took place in June 2023 in Gobu village of Absheron district. Huseynli, son of Farid Firdovsi, born in 1993, is accused of killing his wife Leyla Alishan, Huseynli’s daughter, born in 2003, and their eight-month-old baby with a sharp tool. He subsequently injured himself and was hospitalized.
He was charged with Article 120.2.4 of the Criminal Code (intentional murder – murder with particular cruelty or generally dangerous method).
L. Huseynli was a third-year student at the Faculty of Biology of Baku State University.
