An appeal has been filed against the decision of Junior Sergeant Elkhan Muhammad oglu Awazli, accused of killing three servicemen in the separate border division “Gubadli” of the State Border Service.
According to information obtained by Pravda.az, the investigation into the complaint will be chaired by Supreme Court Judge Nazim Movsumov.
The preliminary court hearing has not yet been announced.
Elkhan Avazli was sentenced to life imprisonment by a ruling by the Fuzuli Military Court.
It should be noted that, according to information released by the Prosecutor General’s Office, on January 2, 2022, around 6:00 p.m., the active overtime soldier of the State Border Service, Junior Sergeant Elkhan Muhammed oglu, fired his weapon regulations for For unknown reasons, the soldiers at the border post are Senior Lieutenant Yusif Ismail oglu Ismayilovu and Junior Ensign Amil Fuar oglu. He deliberately killed Khalilzade and Junior Ensign Rafail Natig oghlu Ibrahimov, then threw down his weapon and fled the scene.
As a result of operational and search measures, Elkhan Avazli was found on January 3, 2022 at 00:30 in the territory of Malkhalaf village of Lachin district and detained as a suspect.
