The criminal case against Tofig Nofal oghlu Balajayev, accused of murdering his uncle’s wife in Khachmaz, has been concluded.
APA reports that the verdict was announced today at the Sumgayit Serious Crimes Court in a session chaired by Judge Aynur Rzayeva.
According to the verdict, Tofig Balajayev was sentenced to 17 years in prison.
It should be noted that Safura Alishah gizi Balacayeva, a villager, was killed in the village of Yerguc in the Khachmaz district in March this year.
He is suspected of having been killed by his brother-in-law, Tofig Nofal Balajayev, 27. That person has been arrested.
He admitted the crime he committed in his statement to the investigation.
It was known that 66-year-old Tofig Balajayev’s uncle killed his wife Safura Balajayeva by hitting her on the head with a tree.
A criminal case was opened against him in the Khachmaz district prosecutor’s office under article 120.2.9 of the Criminal Code.
