An appeal was filed against the decision of Ramin Aghayev, accused of fraud in Baku.
Pravda.az reports that the complaint will be investigated under the chairmanship of Supreme Court Judge Alasgar Novruzov.
The preliminary court hearing has not yet been announced.
According to the indictment, Ramin Agayev presented himself as a businessman to 6 well-known victims of the case and assured them that they would make profits by selling them at a high price after buying and giving them the “iPhone 14 Pro Max.” mobile phones. On several occasions throughout 2023, he took a total of 176,000 manats from victims through fraud.
Ramin Agayev was sentenced to 4 years, 11 months and 25 days in prison by the Baku Serious Crimes Court and was detained in the courtroom.
The Baku Court of Appeal left the sentence unchanged.
