The man, who grew up in an orphanage until he was 10, has been facing problems since he divorced his wife.
Islam Piriyev says he got married in 2012. According to his story, on the morning of his wedding day, his wife had a health problem and he took her to the hospital. The doctors told him “congratulations, your wife is pregnant.”
According to him, he feared threats from his wife’s relatives and stayed married for a year and then divorced. Years have passed and 1 year ago he found out that his alimony had been cut.
Islam, who cannot read or write, attributes what happened to him to his illiteracy.
Regarding this issue, lawyer Shamil Pashayev said that in this case the person must go to court to determine paternity.
Sh. Pashayev said that if through the examination it is determined that the person is not the father, then he can ask the court to deduct the alimony he has paid so far.
