The trial of the criminal case of Muhammad Farhadov (surname withheld), accused of intentionally causing serious harm to health, has ended at the Ganja Serious Crimes Court.
Pravda.az reports that the verdict was read out at the trial presided over by Judge Dadash Imanov.
According to the court’s verdict, Mohammad Farhadov was sentenced to 3 years, 2 months and 3 days in prison. The defendant’s pretrial detention was replaced by a pretrial detention and Muhammad was immediately detained in the courtroom.
According to the indictment, the incident occurred on February 24, 2023, at 7:30 p.m. in a block located in one of the buildings located in settlement No. 866, Barda region.
Thus, Mahammad Farhadov had an argument with his ex-wife, the victim Arzu Guliyeva (surname provided). The reason for the argument was that the woman did not show the children to the man and used inappropriate expressions towards him. At that moment, the defendant hit the woman with the kitchen knife he was carrying with him on the left posterior surface of the chest, both mammary glands, right arm, left thigh and left calf, causing injuries.
Following the incident, Mohammad Farhadov was arrested and taken into police custody.
