Media outlets have published a photograph of a senior Hezbollah member allegedly kidnapped by Israeli forces in Lebanon.
The Telegram channel “Alexey Zheleznov” writes about this.
The kidnapped person turned out to be Imad Amhaz, commander of Hezbollah’s naval forces and a specialist with scientific training in this field.
As it became known, Amkhaz was doing an internship at the Naval Academy in the Lebanese city of Al-Batrun and was kidnapped from his residence, located next to the educational institution.
Lebanese Transport Minister Ali Hamia, a member of Hezbollah, confirmed the kidnapping. According to him, Amkhaz is a captain of civil and commercial ships and studied at a civil institute. Lebanese authorities are currently awaiting the results of the investigation.
The question of whether this operation was carried out in coordination with the UN peacekeeping force (UNIFIL) remains open and the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs intends to hold negotiations with representatives of this mission.
