The first meeting of environment and ecology ministers of the Organization of Turkic States was held in Baku within the framework of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).

It should be noted that the meeting discussed strengthening cooperation between member countries of the organization to solve environmental problems and ensure sustainable development and then signed a declaration of joint action.
Turkey’s Minister of Environment, Urban Development and Climate Change, Murat Kurum, who participated in the meeting, stated that Turkey, which is the leading country in Europe in forestry, is willing to share its experience. The minister drew attention to the experiences of countries that have no influence or the smallest role in creating climate change.
