Militants who seized a settlement in Russia’s Volgograd region on Monday say they were allowed to take a wounded man hostage but no one came to pick him up.

The head of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, himself said that he had been informed about the situation with the seizure of the settlement and assured that measures would be taken, but did not specify what.
This is the second case of a settlement being taken over in the Russian Federation in a month. Recall that a similar incident occurred in Russia on June 16. According to Russian reports, several people who also called themselves members of ISIS seized a penal colony in Rostov. As a result of the assault, five attackers were killed and another was wounded in the head.
Today, the Federal Penitentiary Service of the Russian Federation announced that during a meeting of the disciplinary commission, terrorists seized colony No. 19. They are allegedly trying to free the hostages. Special forces have arrived on the scene and security forces are preparing to storm the prison.
