The mine explosion that cut dreams in half: martyred policeman Asim Jamalzadeh was the family’s only son

Asim Jamalzadeh, a police officer from the Chevik Police Regiment, was killed by a landmine in Khojavand during anti-terrorist measures.

The police officer got engaged, set a date for his wedding and participated in the operation.

Khadija Jamalzadeh, mother of Asim Jamalzadeh, said that when choosing the day of her son’s wedding, she was careful not to coincide with the day our soldiers were martyred. She also noted that the policemen left the house without telling anyone what had happened.

The martyr’s grandmother, Saringul Khalilova, said she tried several times to contact Asim Jamalzade that day but failed, and later reported that he had arrived in Fuzuli.

It should be noted that the Alay police officer was posthumously awarded the “For the Homeland” medal.
