The Ministry of Labour has not supported the idea of introducing a new day off in Russia on September 1, the department said.
“Employers, depending on their production and financial capabilities, may independently establish additional days off for employees. The procedure and conditions for their provision are determined by collective agreements or local regulations.” — Canal Cinco cites the position of the Ministry of Labor.
Appeal to the head of the Ministry of Labor Anton Kotyakov led by the Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Boris Chernyshov. He proposed establishing September 1 as a day off for parents whose children enter grades 1 to 4.
Chernyshov recalled that this measure is already in force in several Russian regions, for example in the Ulyanovsk region, and has proven its effectiveness.
