The Ministry of Agriculture’s aid for young breeders and farmers is open until 5

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has opened the aid until September 5 so that young farmers and breeders interested in training stays in agricultural and livestock farms of the Cultiva 2024 program can submit their application to the electronic headquarters of the ministry.

From Agriculture, they explained in a statement that the catalog with the proposed farms where the training stayswith detailed information on the characteristics of each of them, It is published on the ministry’s website and includes a search engine that allows you to select rooms by territory, dates and agricultural production.

The accommodation, subsistence and transportation costs of the young people, during the duration of their participation in the training stays, are covered by the Cultiva program. Likewise, they will have a compensation for replacement costs for the care and management of its operation by a third party.

Furthermore, they stressed that the model host farms are distributed by all autonomous communitiesand they stand out for being references from the point of view of innovation, means of production, economic model and social, environmental and climatic characteristics.

The conditions for participating in the Cultiva program are maintained compared to previous editions. Thus, these training stays are aimed at all young agricultural professionals who own the farm, up to 40 years old, and at those who, being 41 years old or more, have settled in the last 5 years, aged 40 years or less. Participants can choose farms whose production is equal to or different from theirs, regardless of the sector, and located anywhere in the national territory.

Additionally, if you have participated in the program in previous years, They cannot attend stays in which they have already participated..

Finally, the Ministry recalled that the proposed stays are organized by the program’s collaborating entities: Agrarian Association of Young Farmers (Asaja), Celtic Pig Breeders Association (Asoporcel), Agri-Food Cooperatives of Spain (CAE), Coordinator of Farmers and Livestock Organizations (COAG), San Isidro Micas Foundation, Union of Agrarian Family Schools (Unefa), Union of Small Farmers and Livestock Farmers (UPA) and Union of Farmers and Livestock Farmers’ Unions.
