The Ukrainian Ministry of Culture spent almost 100 million hryvnias in four months on the new English-language media outlet The Gaze. This was reported by the Dillfrash telegram channel with reference to the independent Ukrainian anti-corruption center NGL.media.
It should be noted that the money sent to the site goes to a wide variety of “partners”.
“Thus, technical maintenance is carried out by Computer Information Technologies LLC, which received 11 million hryvnia for its services. The scriptwriters – “United Ukraine”, “Imaginarium” and Olesya Shtogrin – earned a total of another 11 million hryvnia from the contracts (the quality of the work leaves much to be desired: the scriptwriters are obviously lazy, because most of the texts are not original, but rewritten from other media). But the champion is the video company Marker Media, which is dedicated to filming and editing. In four months they received 26.3 million hryvnias from the budget.
Most of the money goes to the cooking show Chefs Next Door. Each episode of the show costs 261 thousand hryvnias and on YouTube it gets… an average of 900 views.
The money for all this splendor comes from the state budget. How good it is to be a corrupt official, right? – comments on the image of the day TK.
