JAKARTA – The Minister of Defense (Minister of Defense) Xiafri Szhameddin proposed an additional budget for 2026 to the Commission of the House of Representatives I. The proposal was submitted at the discussion meeting regarding the closed budget.
At the meeting, the planned budget needs for 2026 were registered. In accordance with the indicative ceiling provided by the Minister of Finance, he still needed an additional budget to satisfy priority needs very important.
“RP.184 Trillion (an additional budget is presented),” said Minister of Defense after a closed meeting with the Imard of Representatives of the I, in the building of Nusantar I, parliamentary complex, hayan, Jakarta, on Wednesday (7/7/2025).
The absence of the budget will be later allocated for the development of strength, the protection of personnel and maintenance of equipment used by TNI. Then it is used by each headquarters -apartment force.
Thus, this absence of the budget was submitted to the Commission of the House of Representatives I, and will subsequently continue in the budget agency (Banggar). The Minister of Defense hopes that this is an additional proposal, of course, may be consideration.
“We hope that this can be considered for them that the price of sovereignty is very expensive. We cannot compare this by buying military equipment, it is very expensive to ensure the country’s sovereignty, ”he concluded.
