As follows from the official message published on the website of the Ministry of Finance of Russia, for ten months of 2024 the federal budget deficit amounted to 220 billion rubles or 0.1% of GDP. At the same time, the country’s oil and gas revenues increased to 9.54 trillion rubles (+32.3%), non-oil and gas revenues – to 20.13 trillion rubles (+20.13%) .
“According to the results of January-October 2024, the federal budget had a deficit of 220 billion rubles, 830 billion rubles less than the level of the same period last year. At the end of the year, the deficit is expected to be 1.7% of GDP.” – confirmed the department.
The Ministry of Finance also clarified that the results are only preliminary.
“The volume of federal budget revenues in January-October 2024 amounted to 29.668 billion rubles, which is 28.4% more than the volume of revenues received in the corresponding period of 2023. At the same time, there is a constant positive trend in the receipt of key non-oil and gas revenues from both the federal budget (+27% year-on-year) and the budget system as a whole (+20% year-on-year). “ – the financiers specified.
The Ministry of Finance reported the following about expenses: “According to preliminary estimates, the volume of federal budget expenditures in January-October 2024 amounted to 29,889 billion rubles, which is 23.7% more than the previous year”.
