The visit of kings Carlos Mazón and Pedro Sánchez to Paiporta, an area devastated by DANA, became a massive protest by residents that ended with the departure of the president from the government.
Sánchez, accompanied by his bodyguards, was evacuated from the area, visibly shaken, as shown in a video by Adrián Edo Galindo, whose publication was authorized by Valencian Radio Television In Punt.
Immediately afterwards, the president gets into one of the motorcade vehicles, a KGM Rexton of the Ssangyong brand who received several blows from the citizens present as he left the scene.
Before the cries of “Resignation of Sánchez”, “assassins” and throwing all kinds of objects, they left the place while Don Felipe and Doña Letizia mediated with the neighbors and offered them their love and understanding.
Many residents of the region, fully affected by the floods, feel abandoned by the authorities and unhappy with the management of the crisis in what constitutes the most serious catastrophe in the history of the Valencian Community.
For now, neither Sánchez nor any member of Moncloa has commented on the riots or the decision to leave Paiporta, and the visit to Chiva, scheduled for the afternoon, has been postponed.
