The most critical presidential election in US history: PHOTO REPORT from New York

Today is one of the most critical presidential elections in American history. Americans went to the polls to determine the president who will govern the country for 4 years, the members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, who play a key role in adopting laws in the country. The outcome of the ongoing presidential race between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is hours away.

The American office of “Report” visited one of the polling stations operating in New York and observed the development of the elections in situ.

In a country with three different time zones, the start and end of voting varies by state. Voting began at 06:00 local time in the states of New York and Virginia, and at 07:00 in the most critical states that will determine the outcome of the elections, Florida, Pennsylvania and the capital Washington.

High security is guaranteed at polling stations where population activity is observed. Volunteers and observers working at polling stations inform voters about the voting process and direct them to the voting booths. On the back of New York City voters’ ballots are five additional propositions to a proposed amendment to the New York constitution related to the city charter.

Two polling stations in Pennsylvania and two polling stations in New York experienced brief voting machine outages. The New York Board of Elections reportedly said the problems have been resolved and voters can drop off their ballots at polling stations and they will be counted.

Regardless of who locals vote for, history will be made on Tuesday. All the attention of the country’s social networks and media is focused on the progress of the election. Voting in the United States will end at 8:00 p.m. local time in Alaska and Hawaii, located in the most northwestern part of the country.

It should be noted that the poll results of the Democratic candidate Kamala Harris and the Republican Party candidate, Donald Trump, are very close to each other.

It should be noted that the candidate who wins the presidential election will be sworn in on January 20, 2025 and will be the 47th president of the United States for a period of 4 years.
