This is not a simple issue, although it is one of the most important for the European Union. This week, Pedro Sánchez’s trip, a few words from the Pope and a complaint from Feijóo coincide and, in a way, together they have highlighted the plethora of positions that exist in our country, but also in the EU itself, on the management of immigration to the European paradise. Being maximalist on this issue can only indicate simplism. The problem is devilishly complicated and the co-management of human rights, economic interests and political or strategic and security interests cannot be resolved with a slogan or a tweet. Hopefully! What seems clear is that it is inappropriate, impossible and useless to try to face the problem from a barricade, a confrontation or a demonization of one or the other.
