The most powerful countries: where does Israel rank?

The American news magazine US News & World Report published the results of a 2022 study, according to which Israel is among the ten most powerful and politically influential countries in the world.

The report notes that the Jewish State is part of one of the most important international alliances, strengthening its position on the world stage. In the overall ranking of the “best” countries, Israel ranked 37th among the 85 countries studied.

Among countries that constantly attract attention and influence global economic processes, Israel occupies tenth place. The leading positions are occupied by the United States, China and Russia, states whose foreign policy and military budgets are under close control.

As noted in US News & World Report, these three countries have the ability to exert significant influence on international affairs, and many around the world have faith in their ability to fulfill their commitments.

In the ranking of military power, Israel occupies fourth place, only behind Russia, the United States and China. In terms of political influence, it ranks sixth, behind Germany and ahead of France.

Israel is described as “the only Jewish state in the world” located on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. Despite its small size, the country has a significant influence on world events, has a strong economy and is home to the coexistence of several religions, although it faces tensions with several Arab neighbors.

The rankings were developed jointly with the BAV Group and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, based on the characteristics of 73 countries. The survey, which included 17,000 people, was conducted from April 30 to July 13, 2022.

The leaders in the general classification were Switzerland, Germany and Canada, while the United States was in fourth position. Sweden, Japan, Australia, Great Britain, France and Denmark complete the top ten, including Israel on this list.

Previously, Kursor reported that Israel is among the countries with the shortest paid vacations.
