In January-September 2024, the turnover of public catering in the city of Baku increased by 10.1% in real terms compared to the corresponding period of 2023 and amounted to 1 billion 146.3 million manat.
The APA was informed of this by the Statistics Department of the city of Baku.
According to the Department of Statistics, during January-September of the current year the highest turnover of cafes and restaurants was recorded in the Sabail region. During this period, the value of public catering turnover in the Sabail region amounted to 375 million 872 thousand manats, 7.6% more than in the same period last year.
The second place in this list is occupied by the Narimanov district. Thus, the value of the turnover of public catering in Narimanov amounted to 149 million 295 thousand manats, 2.6% more than in the same period last year.
Nasimi district is in third place. In January-September of the current year, the value of public catering turnover in Nasimi amounted to 143 million 428 thousand manats, 62.7% more than in January-June 2023.
It should be noted that the highest percentage increase in the turnover of cafes and restaurants was recorded in Nasimi (62.1% increase) and Surakhani (22.3% increase), while the percentage decrease was recorded in the region of Khazar (9.1% decrease).
