One of the historical martyrs of the Patriotic War is Ruslan Sadigov, who heroically fought in the battles for the liberation of Shusha and was martyred on November 7.
On November 6, 2020, Ruslan called his parents from Shusha and asked them to wait for the next call when he said goodbye. On November 8, the people of Azerbaijan received the good news they had been waiting for for almost 30 years.
Finally, Shusha is free. Ruslan Sadigov’s family could not live with the news of the victory. No matter how long they waited, there was no call or word from them. The martyr’s mother, Garagoz Abdullayeva, speaking about her son’s heroism, said that Ruslan always brought them happiness.
“Shusha fought to the end, to the last breath in his battles. He chose the Fatherland, not us, as his mother. I longed for something. I wanted to go to the place where he died, where he was shot. We went to the top of the mountain where my son fought with one of Ruslan’s companions imagine what happened until he took me to that place there 4 members of the same group died I felt a little comforted I brought a handful of dirt and a bouquet of flowers from the ground”, G said. Abdullayeva.
After his death, Ruslan Sadigov was awarded the medals “For the Fatherland” and “For the Liberation of Shusha.” According to his comrades-in-arms, Ruslan closed his eyes and uttered the words “Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan” twice before being martyred.
